Oral history interviews of the Graco Inc. Oral History Project, 1982-1985.

Eight interviews documenting the history of Graco Inc., founded in 1926 by Russell and Leil Gray in Minneapolis, Minn. It began with the development of a grease gun for use in automobile service stations and expanded to include equipment that could handle most fluid and semi-solid materials used in industry. Narrators discuss the company's products, growth and management, family involvement with the company, family relationships, and corporate philanthropy. INTERVIEWEES: Russell J. Gray, Lee D. Harness, Robert F. Hasse, Maynard B. Hasselquist, Barbara Gray Koch, David A. Koch, Charles F. Murphy, Claudia H. Wheaton. The project also includes one sound cassette of interviews with friends and associates of Russell Gray, recorded at the dedication of the Russell J. Gray Technical Center, Minneapolis in 1983.
